Jack Hartley, age 72, of Douglas, GA passed away on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital, in Savannah, GA following a brief illness. Mr. Hartley was born on September 18, 1940, to the late George Hartley and Mary Elizabeth Davis Hartley.
Survivors include: his wife, Kathryn Hartley, of Douglas, GA; daughter, Sandra Hartley Jaikin, of Douglas, GA; four sons, Donnie Hartley, of Douglas, GA, Jack Hartley, Mt. Dora, FL, David Harley, of Umatilla, FL, and Jackie Hartley, of Winter Haven, FL; two stepdaughters, Brenda Kay Smith and Linda Carol Davis, both of Douglas, GA; seven brothers, Fred Hartley, of Douglas, GA, George Hartley, of Lakeland, GA, Johnny Carroll Hartley, of Nicholls, GA, Larry Gene Hartley, James Edward Hartley, both of VA, Buddy Worth, of KY, and Randy Worth, of Okeechobee, FL; six sisters, Betty Worth, of Winter Garden, FL, Mary Ellen Hall, of Douglas, GA, Ruth Ann Burkett, of Pearson, GA, Mae Sue Dallas, of Fitzgerald, GA, Debra Gail Jones and Sue Lee Worth, both of Hawkinsville, GA; nineteen grandchildren; one step granddaughter, and one step great granddaughter. Several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 6, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home with Rev. Hilton Martin officiating. Sims Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
