Martinez, GA---Miss Sara Constance (Connie) Judy, our beloved Nanny, at 69 years of age, entered into the gates of Heaven on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at University Hospital in Augusta, GA after a very short battle with cancer.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 5, 2012, at 11:00 am at West View Cemetery with the Reverend Dr. Emmitt Tip Carroll officiating, interment will follow.
Ms. Judy was a native of Augusta and had lived there her entire life. She worked for Homestead Draperies for many years and later retired from South Columbia Elementary School as a school nutritionist. She was the first born of seven children and was a very devoted daughter and sister who helped in raising her two youngest brothers and many of her sibling’s children thus becoming known to all as “Nanny”. Her loving devotion to them and many others was unconditional. She was without saying “the rock” of many lives and those lives will be greatly affected. She adored Elvis and was happy in her last hours knowing that she “did it her way”. With her last wishes of “smile and be happy” her legacy of love and life will carried on until the day that we are all united together again in Heaven.
Ms. Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Farrell L. (Papa) Judy and Barbara Waller (Mama) Judy, her brother William J. (Bill) Judy whom she described as her love and heart, and her beloved Chihuahua, Sadie.
Survivors include her siblings, Lynn Moates (Tony) of Martinez, GA, Farrell Judy III (Merinda) of Thomasville, GA, Santalee Jernigan (Butch) of Martinez, GA, Edward Judy (Meloney) of Martinez, GA and Gary Judy (Bonnie) of Martinez, GA, an uncle, John Waller of Sardis, GA, numerous nieces and nephews, most of which she considered as her own, and her cherished Chihuahuas, Willie and Susie.
