Obituary

Funeral services for Charles A. Farmer, 87, Sycamore, will be held Friday, October 5, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Prospect Cemetery, Sycamore, GA. Mr. Farmer died Wednesday at Heritage Health Care in Ashburn following an extended illness.

Mr. Farmer was born in Sycamore the son the late Roy M. Farmer, Sr. and Pauline Bruton Farmer. He was retired from the Maintenance Department of Gold Kist Peanut Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Sycamore Methodist Church. He enjoyed gardening, collecting and feeding his cats.

Mr. Farmer is survived by his wife, Sarah Childs Farmer, Sycamore, GA, his brothers and sisters, Talmadge Farmer and Robert Farmer, both of Sycamore, GA and Lucille Brooks, Port Charlotte, FL. Also surviving are a large number of Nieces and Nephews and a special niece, Brenda Cox, Ashburn, GA.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel.

Flowers will be accepted but for those who wish, please make donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas, 66675 or the local Humane Society.
