Manchester– Jesse L. York, 70, died October 1, 2012 at his home following a brief illness.
He was born in Nashua on January 1, 1942 the son of Richard M. and Mildred (Fenoff) York.
He served his country in the U. S. Army.
Prior to his retirement he had worked as a cook at Howard Johnson’s and was also an auto body technician.
He loved to take his grandchildren and great grandchildren to various fun spots. He also enjoyed collecting DVD’s.
He was predeceased by his wife of 45 years, Barbara (Hill) York on April 10, 2012, and a son James A. York who died in 1972.
Family members include his mother of Nashua, 4 daughters, Marsha Mague and her husband Daniel of Florida, Laura L. Decker and her husband, Benjamin of Chemung, NY., Barbara Decker and her husband Ray of Lowman, NY., Toni Ann Hallee and her husband Steven of Manchester, 9 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Richard M. York of Milford, 1 sister, Mildred M. Tessier of Hudson, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2 to 4 & 7 to 9PM at J. N. Boufford & Sons Funeral Home, 110 Bridge St. A funeral service will take place on Friday at 12 Noon in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery in Milford.
