Deborah J. ”Debbie” (Hammond) Gately, 50, of Norwell died Sunday September 30th surround by her family at home.
Debbie was born in Brockton, daughter of Irene A. (Legault) Hammond and the late Jack H. Hammond.
She grew up in Pembroke and was a graduate of Silver Lake Regional High School.
Debbie worked for the Patriot Ledger.
She enjoyed gardening and loved animals.
In addition to her mother Irene, she is survived by her son Jim (Jamie) Gately, Jr., of Norwell, her brother Jack Hammond, Jr. of Berkley, her sister Brenda (Hammond) MacLean of Kingston, her nieces Megan MacLean of Kingston, Kayla and Amy Hammond of Berkley; also many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday October 4th from 6:00-9:00 PM in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth St.(Rte. 58 at the rotary circle) Whitman. A funeral service will start at 8:30 PM.
