Ruby Gray, 92, of Fitzgerald, Georgia died Friday, September 28, 2012, at Sylvester Healthcare in Sylvester, GA.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, September 29, at 4:30 PM at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. J.W. Taylor officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3PM until the funeral hour.
Mrs. Gray was born July 26, 1920 in Irwin County to the late William Warren and Naresis Thompson Fulford. She lived most of her life in Irwin and Ben Hill Counties. A member of Englewood Baptist Church, she enjoyed helping others and taking friends to the doctor. She was a farmwife and former employee of Fitzgerald Mills and Tice Yarn.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Frances Gray of Fitzgerald and Lamar and Liz Gray of Sylvester, GA; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and sisters, Rose Tucker and Nell Douglas, both of Valdosta, GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Gray, son, William H. Gray, one brother and two sisters.
