Mary Evelyn Batts Young, 83, of Clarksville, TN died Friday September 28, 2012 at her residence.
She was born May 25, 1929 in Henrietta, TN daughter of the late Arnold and Buna Batts. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph David Young, Jr; brothers Rufus and Dick Batts and a sister Helen West.
Survivors include her husband Joseph David Young, Sr; two daughters, Melinda Geary (Jeffery), Clarksville, and Teresa Miller (Mike), Midway, GA; two grandchildren, Dr. Allyson Geary, Jackson, TN; and Cameron Miller, Midway, GA; and a brother Lacy Batts, Foley, AL.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 1,2012 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley Parchman Chapel with Pastor Andy Rutherford officiating.
Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 8 PM and on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Denny Boguskie, Earl Snyder, Gray Nolen, Zack Wunderlich, Rick Hicks and Daniel Heltsley.
