Carla J. Coggins, 43, of Marlboro, died Wednesday, Sept. 26th at her residence surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. She leaves her loving daughter Mikayla Coggins of Marlboro.
Carla was born and raised in Marlboro, daughter of the late Roger Coggins and survived by her mother, Helen (Wagner) Coggins of Marlboro. She was a life long resident of Marlboro and worked as a clerk for several local companies.
Carla held strong family values throughout her life. She loved spending time with her family, especially with her daughter Mikayla. She enjoyed sharing scripture readings from the Bible with family and friends and her favorite pastime was playing games with her daughter.
Besides her daughter and mother, she is survived by her siblings, Deacon Frederick Coggins and his wife Zita of Northbridge, William Coggins, David Coggins, James Coggins and Christine Cote and her husband Philip, all of Marlboro. She is also survived by her nephews, Aaron Coggins of Virginia, L-Cpl Jesse Coggins currently serving in Okinawa; her nieces, Ashley Coggins of Northbridge, whose loving care for Carla the past few weeks is greatly appreciated by the family, Felicia Coggins of North Carolina, Brianna Coggins of Northbridge and her great niece, Abigail Stanford of Northbridge.
A funeral service and celebration of Carla’s life will be held on Monday, Oct. 1st at 11:00 a.m. in the Grace Baptist Church, 353 River Road, Hudson. Burial will follow in Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, Sept. 30th from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc. 50 Central Street, Hudson, MA 01749.
