Frances G. (Nott) Hallett, 86, of Sherborn, died Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Blaire House of Milford. She was the wife of Allen H. Hallett who died in 2007.
Born in Braintree on August 25, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Warren and Mabel (Mundy) Nott.
Mrs. Hallett grew up in Braintree and graduated from Braintree High School in 1944 and Mount Ida College in 1946. She married her husband, Allen and they moved to Dover and later Sherborn where they purchased their horse farm. Mrs. Hallett was a lifelong horseman and enjoyed riding for over 50 years. She volunteered at the Sherborn 4H Club during the 1960’s.
Mrs. Hallett was a car club member, along with her husband, of the Touring Club of New England and the Porsche Club of America Northeast Region.
She enjoyed summering in Wolfeboro, NH with her family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, James of Framingham and Charles and his wife Joan of Medway and her granddaughter Emily Hallett.
She is also survived by her sister Claire Higgs of Scituate and Florence Stovold and her husband Gordon of Venice, FL and numerous nieces and nephews.
Burial will take place privately with her immediate family at Pine Hill Cemetery in Sherborn at a later date.
