THOMPSON, URSULA MARY (POSNER), 86, of Louisville, died at her home Monday September 24, 2012.
She was born March 5, 1926 in Pittsburgh, PA. She entered the nurse cadet corps during the Second World War and remained in the nursing field for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Paul; two brothers, Charles and George and first born Richard.
Survivors include five sons, Raymond of West Point, KY, Randy of Elizabethtown, KY, Mark and Robert of Louisville and Ryan of Elkhart, IN; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; sister, Irma Payton, of Louisville, Clara Sedlecki, of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Raymond of Oregon.
Her funeral Mass will be 11 a.m. Friday at St. Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, 5431 Johnsontown Road, Louisville, followed by burial at St. Johns Cemetery, Rineyville, KY. Visitation will be noon - 8 p.m Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Hwy.
