SAN MATEO, FL: Eileen F. (Aries) Janiak, 64, died peacefully under the care and comfort of her family at her sister’s residence on Monday, September 24, 2012 following a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born in Cambridge on September 3, 1948 the daughter of the late Augustus L. Aries and Irene V. (Whelan) Aries.
Eileen is survived by her devoted and loving husband John J. Janiak of San Mateo, FL formerly of Burlington. She was the beloved sister of Michael Aries of Natick; Gerry Brown of Wayland and Theresa “Sandy” Carr of Natick and several nieces and nephews.
Eileen and her husband John have resided in San Mateo, FL for the past two years and previously resided for many years in Burlington. She spent her formative years in Wellesley and was a graduate of Wellesley High School. Prior to retiring, Eileen had been associated for many years as a Greenhouse Assistant at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge.
At the request of her family funeral services and interment at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge will be private.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Elks, 95 Speen Street, Natick.
