Robert Douglas "Doug" Wallace, 77, of Anderson died at St. John's Health System September 23, 2012 after a brief illness.
He was born November 11, 1934 in Livingston, Tenn. to Dewey and Zeffie (Copeland) Wallace.
He was a furniture refinisher for many years before retiring in 1993.
He is survived by his 9 children: Darrell (Vickie) Wallace of Alexandria; Teja (Bryan) Moore; Robert A. (Beth) Wallace all of Muncie; Jeffrey (Mary Kay) Wallace of Selma, IN; Mellissa Hutcherson; Tony Whipple; Nicole (Brent) Kennedy; Samuel (Danielle) Wallace all of Anderson and Randy Wallace of Colorado; 5 siblings: Helen Marie Webb of Anderson; Camilla Eudean Collins of Spencer, IN; Ronald (Janice) Wallace of Largo, FL; Judith (John) Samuels of Anderson; Susie (Robert) Spangler of Anderson; special longtime friends Linda & Harold Burge of Anderson;19 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Jacqueline (Lewis) Wallace, whom he married August 13, 1969 died on August 18, 2006; his son Jon Whipple; 2 brothers and a sister.
Funeral services will be held on Friday September 28, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Kerry Robinson officiating.
The visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
