Augusta, GA---Mrs. Alpha LaReda Ammann, beloved wife of 62 years to the late Rudolph Ammann, passed away Sunday, September 23, 2012.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:15 pm tomorrow Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Father Jacek Szuster as celebrant. Interment will follow at Westover Memorial Park.
Alpha was a faithful member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church for many years. She was employed with Sears and Roebuck for a number of years, before becoming the Book Keeper for Weinberger’s, formerly known as The Augusta Furniture Market, on Broad Street.
Alpha has been a resident at Augusta Gardens for 5 years. She never met a stranger and was loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is survived by her God-daughter, LaReda Boswell of North Augusta, SC, brother in law and his wife, Arnold and Rose Ammann of New Jersey, and nieces, Susan Kran of New Jersey and Lorraine Callahan of Florida.
The family will receive friends this evening Tuesday, September 25, 2012 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Platt’s Crawford Avenue.
The family would like to thank the staff at Augusta Gardens and Alliance Hospice for the wonderful care they provided, as well as the love they had for her.
