Marjorie E. Olson, age 74, of Medford formerly of Malden passed away Wednesday morning at the Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston following a short illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Warren I. Olson. Born in Boston she was the daughter of the late Cecilia (Hickey) and J. Francis Gay.
Mrs. Olson worked for over twenty years as a clerk for the Hillside Cleaners in Medford. She was extremely devoted to her family and enjoyed being with her grandchildren. She was an avid reader and loved listening to music and traveling. In addition to her husband and parents, Marjorie is preceded in death by her sister Cecilia Potts and brothers Joseph and Edward Gay. She is survived by her cherished children, Karen A. McFarland of Medford, Diane M. Buonopane of Everett, Karl J. Olson of Woburn, Lynne G. Riley of Norwood and Warren J. Olson of Auburn, NH. She is also survived by seven loving grandchildren and one loving great grandchild. Sister of Jack Gay of Duxbury and Trudy McLaughlin of Brockton.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home 306 Main St. Medford, Saturday at 9 AM. Followed by a funeral mass celebrated in Sacred Heart Church, 55 Winthrop St. Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 4 thu 8. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
