Barry A. Figueiredo, 57, of Mableton, GA died September 20, 2012 unexpectedly at home.
Born and raised in New Bedford, the son of Manuel and Charlotte A. (Leon) Figueiredo of New Bedford, he lived in Mableton, GA for the last 15 years.
He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Church.
Barry was a graduate of Fairfield University and later received his masters degree from Howard University.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Carl Figueiredo and his wife Doreen of New Bedford; 2 nephews, Corey and Jacob Figueiredo; his aunt, Benvinda Rose and her husband Aggie of New Bedford; his Godmother, Louise Cruz of New Bedford; and numerous cousins.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Thursday, September 27th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Church at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Wednesday, September 26th from 5-8 PM.
