Mr. Henry J. Galvin, 88 Of Milford, formerly of Medford and Cambridge died on Wednesday, September 19. He is the beloved husband of Helen(Boudreau) Galvin with whom he shared more than 63 years of marriage. A graduate of Belmont Public Schools, he joined the U.S. Navy and served during WWII. Following his service to our country, he worked as a carpenter and was a proud member of the Carpenter's Union Local #225 in Newton. Henry enjoyed travelling, he and his wife would often vacation in St. Croix. He was an avid skater and his love for skating was shared by his beloved wife, they met while skating. They were skaters for many years. Mr. Galvin had a forgiving heart, particularly for the Boston Bruins, he was a diehard fan. Devoted father of Geri Balducci and her husband Lon of Milford and the late Thomas J. & Edward J. Galvin. Loving Grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral from the Dello Russo Family Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Monday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM . Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Sunday 4 through 8 Pm. Services will conclude with burial at MA National Cemetery, Bourne.
