BILLERICA – Anthony J. Neve, 61 of Billerica and formerly of Lawrence, died Sunday September 16, 2012 at Lowell General Hospital, after a long illness.
Born in Methuen, he attended Austin Prep and graduated with the Class of 1968. For 37 years he worked as a Civil Engineer with Massachusetts Department of Transportation, retiring this past June 2012. He was a former member of the Methuen Knights of Columbus and several other local social clubs. He was a longtime Lawrence resident before moving to Billerica.
He is survived by his two sons, Jason E. Neve of Nashua, NH and Anthony J. Neve and his wife Melanie also of Nashua, NH. He also leaves his mother, Aileen R. (Raineri) Neve of Methuen, MA.
Two sisters, Debra M. Brown and her husband Edward of Nashua, NH and Leslie A. Neve of Andover, MA; one brother, Thomas E. Neve of Methuen, MA.
Four grandchildren, Colin, Hallie, Kendall and Anthony J. Neve.
Anthony also leaves his longtime companion Claire Barchard of Billerica, MA
He was the son of the late Anthony J. Neve of Lawrence.
ARRANGEMENTS: Visiting hours for family and friends will be held on Thursday from 3:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc., 233 Lawrence Street Methuen, MA 01844. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00a.m. in St. Lucy’s Church in Methuen. Private Family Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
