Devoted son of Brenda Massey of Malden and George Holmes of Georgia. Loving brother of Kevin Mahon of Chelsea and Keith Mahon and Valarie Massey both of Revere. Cherished grandfather of Chanise Kane and Corey Spinney. Also survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Viola Morris-Buchanan, Pastor of the Peoples AME Church of Chelsea officiating. Visiting Hours in the Smith Funeral Home on Wednesday from 4-8 PM. Services will conclude with interment at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.Born in Brookline, George, 49 years of age, passed away Sunday evening at The Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after a courageous battle with cancer. For amny years until his illness forced him to retire, he worked for Calender Linen on Washington Avenue.
