Michael A. Kenny, Jr., 34, of Lowell, died unexpectedly Friday, September 14, 2012 at home.
Michael, son of Michael A. and Blanca (Linares) Kenny, Sr., was born in Lawrence on April 7, 1978 and lived in both Lawrence and Methuen for many years. Michael attended both St. Patrick’s School in Lawrence and St. Monica’s School in Methuen and graduated from the Greater Lawrence Vocational Technical School. He later attended Northern Essex Community College. Michael worked as a Technician for many years.
Michael was car enthusiast and will be remembered as being quite mechanically inclined. He was a tattoo aficionado and enjoyed fishing, reading repair manuals and his computer. He loved animals and greatly enjoyed going out to eat, especially when spanish cuisine was on the menu.
He will be deeply missed by his wife, Daphne G. Kenny-Cruz; his beloved parents, Michael and Blanca of Methuen; one brother, Andrew J. Kenny of Haverhill; one sister, Imelda E. Gennell, her husband Eric and their children Ethan and Travis, all of Londonderry, New Hampshire; his paternal grandmother, Anne (Egan) Kenny of County West Meath, Ireland; four step-children, Ashley and Kevin Martinez and Amanda and Daniel Sanchez, all of Lowell and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Family and friends are planning to honor and celebrate Michael’s life by gathering for his Funeral Mass in St. Monica’s Church, 214 Lawrence, St., Methuen on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 at 11 AM. The family kindly requests that everyone go directly to church. There are no visiting hours.
