Kristen J. (Burke) Galante, 37, of Norton, formerly of North Attleboro and Taunton, passed away on Saturday September 15, 2012 at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. Galante, Jr.
Born in Brockton, MA on March 8, 1975, she was a loving daughter of Robert K. and Claire V. (Testa) Burke of Middleboro.
Kristen grew up and was educated in both Brockton and Smithfield, RI. She was a graduate of Smithfield High School where was a member of, and also served as president for two years of the schools SADD Chapter. Kristen furthered her studies, attending Fisher Junior College in Attleboro.
A Norton resident for the past 7 years, she had been employed as a Portfolio Analyst for State Street Corporation in Quincy. Kristen was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church in Mansfield where she was wed to her husband Richard on November 5, 2006.
Kristen enjoyed crafts, scrap booking, cooking and baking. Her favorite times spent were those in the presence of her adoring family and trips with her husband to York Beach in Maine.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by her cherished daughter, Abigail E. Galante of Norton. She was the dear sister of the late Kevin R. Burke and is also survived by her mother and father- in -law Richard, Sr. and Teresa Galante of Norton, as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Her Funeral Mass, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend, will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 19th at 9:00 A.M. in St. Mary’s Church, 330 Pratt St. (Route 106) Mansfield. Burial will follow in the Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, September 18th from 4-7 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main St., Mansfield.
