John Jewell, age 21, of Douglas, GA passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center, in Valdosta, GA following a brief illness. Mr. Jewell was born on July 12, 1991, in Douglas, GA to Travis Jewell and Frances Pate Durden.
Survivors include: his mother, Frances Pate Durden, of Moultrie, GA and father, Travis Jewell, of Douglas, GA; two brothers, Clayson Jewell and Dean Jewell, both of Douglas, GA; three sisters, Kayli Jewell, Deign Jewell, and Anslee Jewell, all of Douglas, GA; paternal grandparents, Merrill and Myrna Jewell, of Douglas, GA, and maternal grandparents, Linda and Jerry Smith, of Alma, GA. He is preceded in death by his grandfather William Pate.
Visitation will be held on Friday, Sept. 14 from 6-9 pm.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2012 at 4:00 p.m. at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Stake President Timothy Fussell, Bishop Ashley Wood, and, Bishop Jerry Waldron, officiating. Interment followed at the Utah Cemetery.
