WAREHAM - Elizabeth (Castro) Texeira, wife of the late Alfred S. Texeira, died at The Tremont Health Care Center in Wareham on Sept. 10, 2012.
She was 91.
Born in Taunton, the daughter of the late Antone and Annie (Frates) Castro, she was a 1938 graduate of Taunton High School.
Formerly of Norton and Yarmouthport, Mrs. Texeira retired from Texas Instruments in Attleboro as an executive secretary many years ago.
She is survived by her sister, Catherine Tenikos, sister-in-law, Rose Cabral, both of Taunton, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceasing her was a brother, Anthony Castro, and sisters: Mary Medeiros, Florentine Pimental, Helen DeSilvia, Julia Silvia, Agnes Araujo, and Madeline Castro.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton, on Friday, Sept. 14 at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Anthony’s Church, Taunton at 11:30 am.
The family will receive visitors from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. prior to the funeral mass.
Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 1:45 pm.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
