Betty Eidson Oliver, 85, of Jacksonville, Florida died September 9, 2012 in Jacksonville.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, September 14, 2012, at the Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla with the Rev. Rob Dowdle officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Turner County, Georgia. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 Thursday evening at the funeral home in Ocilla.
Mrs. Oliver was born May 27, 1927 in Turner County, Georgia to the late Clarence and Eunice Langford Eidson. She was a retired secretary and manager for the hardware industry. She made her home in Jacksonville for many years. She was an active member of the Riverside Baptist Church and was a graduate of Mystic High School.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law: Jacquelyn & Richard Moore of Jacksonville, FL; son and daughter-in-law: Larry & Susan Eidson of Elberton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Leroy & Delores Eidson of Irwin County; four sisters: Marie Howard and Thelma Farmer, both of Ocilla, and Audrey Rodgers and Margaret Garrett, both of Atlanta; Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William J. Oliver, four brothers and one sister.
