WEBSTER – Dr. Sean M. Norton, Pharm.D., 30, of Webster, died Saturday, September 8, 2012 at home after an illness.
He leaves his mother, Isabella Kathleen Oteri; his father, Laurence E. “Larry” Norton and step-mother, Myrna I. Colón, all of Webster; his sister, Dr. Jennifer L. Norton, Pharm. D. and her husband Adam L. Isard of Lafayette Hill, PA; his maternal grandmother, Joyce Katherine (Gilbert) Oteri of Jensen Beach, Florida; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was born in Worcester and lived in Webster most of his life. He was a graduate of Saint Louis School and graduated from Bartlett High School, Class of 2000, where he was a member of the BHS National Honor Society. He was captain of the varsity track & field team and played varsity football. He received his Bachelor of Science in 2004 and his Doctorate of Pharmacy in 2006 from the University of Connecticut in Storrs, CT. He also played intramural softball in college.
Dr. Norton was employed as a registered pharmacist at Shaw’s Supermarket in Windsor, CT, retiring due to illness in 2009.
He was a member of Saint Louis Church and a member of the American Pharmacist Association. He was a die-hard Red Sox and Patriots fan. He loved rock and roll, especially the Beatles. He was deeply connected to nature and enjoyed the time spent fishing on Webster Lake with his Uncle Jimmy. An amateur herpetologist, he loved snakes and reptiles catching various species, including rattlesnakes, turtles and alligators. He enjoyed traveling to Key West and the Everglades, Las Vegas, New Orleans and Quebec, Canada.
The funeral will be held Thursday, September 13, from Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street, with a Mass at 12:00 PM in Saint Louis Church, 14 Lake Street. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, September 12, in the funeral home.
