Donald R. Hodgkinson, 78 of Medford, died Saturday unexpected in the Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, MA.
Born in Boston, he lived in Medford for many years and was the son of the late Helen (Sullivan) and Harold Hodgkinson. Donald was a Steam Fireman with the Commonwealth Of Massachusetts for many years and retired in 1999.
Beloved husband of Rosemarie (Petrillo). Devoted father of Donna Blasetti and her husband Joseph of Medford and the late Jeanne Hodgkinson. Loving grandfather of Brittany, Lauren and Joseph Jr. Also his cherished cat Princess. Brother of the late Harold Hodgkinson Jr.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD Thursday at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 118 High Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8. Services will conclude with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, Boston.
