SPENCER: Blanche C. (Fecteau) Archambeault 90, formerly of 94 Chestnut St., died Saturday, Sept. 8 in St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester.
She leaves her husband of 68 years, Roger W. Archambeault, two sons Paul R. Archambeault and his wife Patricia of Worcester and Robert Archambeault and his wife Diane of So. Deerfield, her grand children Michael Archambeault and his wife Laura of Spencer and Michelle Fewell and her husband John of Los Angeles, Calif., several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother Roland Fecteau.
Blanche worked as an office clerk in the Mass. Dept. of Welfare both in Spencer and later in Southbridge for 26 years, retiring in 1989.
Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of Wilbrod and Rose (Jette) Fecteau and later graduated from David Prouty High School, Class of 1940. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Parish, St. Mary’s Women’s Guild and St. Anne’s Sodality. Along with her husband, she was an avid square dancer and longtime members of the “Hayloft Steppers” in Spencer. She enjoyed crochet, knitting and reading. Her two grandchildren were the love of her life.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 12 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer with a Mass at 11a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. A calling period will be held on Wednesday from 9:15 to 10:45a.m prior to the funeral mass. Burial will be a later date and at the convenience of the family in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Cemetery.
