Obituary

Richard P. “Dapper” Welch, a lifelong resident of Charlestown passed on September 1, 2012. He was the cherished brother of his twin sister Theresa Lang, Henry Pat “Putzie”, Joseph, Edward “Ned”, John Welch, the late Loretta Welch, Mildred Wall, Lillian Boutilier, Michael “Midnight Mike” and Leo “The Cat” Welch.

Dapper was also survived by his many loving nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral from the Brown-Flaherty Funeral Home, 261 Washington Street, Union Square, Somerville on Thursday at 9am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Church, 303 Bunker Hill Street, Charlestown at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Visiting hours on Wednesday 4-8pm.

Dapper was a 35 year employee of Revere Sugar Refinery, Charlestown and a proud U.S.Army, WWII Veteran.

Interment: VA National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:45pm.
