Obituary

WORCESTER: John F. Kilcoyne, 90, of 340 May St, formerly of East Kendall St., died in his home on Saturday, September 8, 2012, after an illness.
He leaves his brother, Thomas R. “Ray” Kilcoyne, with whom he lived; his sister, Theresa Slaney of Worcester; and many nieces and nephews. Another sister, Mary W. Roughan, predeceased him. He was born in Worcester, son of the late Michael F. and Margaret (McNamara) Kilcoyne and graduated from North High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with the first continuing education night class of Clark University. He also completed continuing studies at Boston College and Boston University.
John was Vice-President/Treasurer at Harrington Richardson where he worked since graduating from high school, until he retired. He served more than 50 years in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was a member of the New England Safe Boating Council, the First Friday Club and Our Lady of Providence Parish. He had been an active member of the former Our Lady of Fatima Church where he ran the weekly Bingo and served on various church councils.
A CALLING HOUR will be held from 9:15 to 10: 15 A.M. on TUESDAY, SEPT. 11 at KELLY FUNERAL HOME, 154 Lincoln Street., followed by a FUNERAL MASS at 11 A.M. at ST. CHRISTOPHER’S CHURCH, 950 West Boylston Street. Burial will follow at St. John’s Cemetery.
