Barbara A. (Lyons) Kelleher, 83, of Fairhaven died Friday September 7, 2012 at home. She was the wife of the late Dr. Robert E. Kelleher.
Born in Lynn, the daughter of the late Michael and Catherine (Keenan) Lyons, she lived in Fairhaven for many years.
Barbara was a special woman who was very loving, compassionate, generous, and forgiving.
Survivors include four children, Kevin Kelleher and wife Barb of Swansea, Christine Assad and husband Shay of New Bedford, Sheila Picard and husband Gary of Fairhaven, and Sharon Hays and husband Randy of Lakeville; a sister, Kathleen Martin of Boxford; two sisters-in-law, Ruth Mason of Onset and Frances Lyons of Lynnfield; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home for Funerals, 50 County Rd., Route 6, Mattapoisett. Visitation Thursday morning 9-10:30 AM prior to the service. Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
