Sara Elizabeth (Emberton) Turner, age 70, of Anderson went to join her husband of 50 years, Jack on January 1, 2011.
Sara was born on April 29, 1940 in Monterey, Tennessee to James Fred & Grayce (Pirlte) Emberton.
She was a homemaker but worked previously at RCA and Emgee. She enjoyed being outside.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Donna) Turner of Anderson, daughter, Cindy Taylor of Anderson, 4 sisters, Emma Nash, Opal Dale (James Leon), Beatrice "Bea" Ashburn and Billie Bilbrey all of Tennessee, 9 grandchildren: Sarah (Jason), Kristy (Tony), Jacob, and Abby Turner, Jessica (James) Cooley, Johnna Rhodus (Charlie), James (April), Jeramy (Melissa) and Justin (Tiffany) Taylor, several great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, special friends, Mark Taylor and Carla Zech.
Sara was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, , 2 brothers, James H. Emberton and Ray Emberton and a great grandson, and sister, Margie Stamps
Sara's family would like to offer a special thank you to Community Hospital ICU and Meadowbrook Rehabilitation for their special care.
Services will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Bill Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 1:30 to 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
