James Eugene "Jim" Walker
March 8, 1939- February 11, 2011

James Eugene "Jim" Walker, 71 of Anderson died unexpectedly on February 11, 2011 at his residence.

He was born March 8, 1939 in Anderson, IN to Wilbur and Mildred "Maxine" (Garrison) Walker. He has been a lifelong resident of Anderson.

He was employed as a machinist for Schleyer Pumps for many years.

He served in the US Navy and proudly served on the USS Jenkins. He was a silver level Olympic bowling coach.

He is survived by his 4 children, Pam (Garry) Delaplane, Vicki Smith, John McWithey, and Beth (Richard) Goff; Stepmother, Kate Walker; Son-in-law, Mark Smith; Daughter-in-law, Theresa Shirley; Brother, Chris (Cindy) Walker, 2 Sisters, Cathy Davis and Linda Walker and many step-siblings; 4 Grandchildren, Rachel Smith, Michelle and Kirby McWithey, and Shannon Aker; 2 Great-Grandchildren, Autry and Andrew Smith; Special Friends, Dee and Rick Webber, and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by: His Parents, Wilbur and Mildred "Maxine" (Garrison) Walker; Wife, Thelma Walker; Sister, Jan Brizendine.

The funeral service will take place on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 4:00pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Keith Wooden officiating. The visitation will be 2 hrs. prior to the service at the funeral home. Cremation was chosen.
