Martha (Brough) Wininger
June 9, 1928 - April 11, 2011
Martha (Brough) Wininger, age 82 of Anderson passed away peacefully at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield on Monday, April 11, 2011 following an extended illness.
She was born June 9, 1928 to Jonathon and Gertrude (Turner) Brough in Bicknell, IN.
Martha was a faithful servant of Jesus Christ all her life and attended East Side Church of God.
She is survived by her husband, James Wininger of Anderson whom she married October 26, 1946 In Vincennes, IN; her daughters Margaret (Garry) Smith of Anderson in and Mary Jo Williams of Italy, 3 siblings William (Lynn) Brough of Oaktown, IN; Robert (Caroline) Brough of Vincennes, IN and Elizabeth Brough of Evansville, IN; 2 grandchildren: Camden Smith-Straface and husband Michael Straface of Naples, FL and Jason Williams of Italy.
Martha worked at Community Hospital as the surgery scheduler and then many years for Dr. Robert McCurdy.
She was a talented seamstress and cake decorator and loved to quilt after she retired.
She loved her grandchildren and family. She left her family with many happy memories of Christmas and trips taken together. She was loved dearly and will be missed more than she could ever know.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Dr. Glen Cox officiating. She will be entombed at East Maplewood Cemetery Mausoleum. Friends may call from 11:30 A.M. until the service at the funeral home.
She was preceded in death by seven other siblings and her parents.
