Rose Ellen (Kemper) Tucker, 79, of Anderson, died at Community Hospital on April 28, 2011 after an extended illness.
Rose was born January 14, 1932 in Paris, Illinois to John Edward & Eveline D. (Nesler) Kemper.
She was a nurse for 18 years at Gobel Nursing Home before retiring in 1977.
Rose loved crafts, flower gardening and working puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Tucker of Anderson; 2 grandchildren, Clista Swigeart and Billy (April) Swigeart; 3 great grandchildren, Destrian Scott, Cayley Scott, Jayden Scott all of Anderson; 2 sisters Juanita (James) Colvin, Nettie Simpson of Charleston, IL; 2 brothers, Paul Kemper of Alexandria, Riley (Teresa) Kemper of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Richard Tucker died April 12, 1977, 2 sons: Timothy Tucker and Ricky Tucker.
Funeral services will be on Monday, May 2, at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Chris Mishler of the Bridge officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 1 PM until the service.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Assoc or the American Lung Association.
