Mary Charlotte (Hutchinson) First
July 6, 1927 - May 4, 2011

Mary Charlotte (Hutchinson) First, 83 of Anderson passed away on May 4, 2011 at the home of her son Steven Charles First.

She was born July 6, 1927 to William & Mary (Sholler Brookins) Hutchinson in Lima, Ohio, where she graduated from South High School in 1945 and attended business school.

She married Dick Deverd First on September 5, 1948. She was a stay at home mom and raised all six of her children.

She continued to live in Lima and New Carlisle until moving to Anderson in 1985.

After her children were grown, she worked for the Women of the Church of God, was a sales clerk for the fine jewelry department at J.C. Penney also worked at Sears and Payless Supermarkets.

She loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother and she loved her Lord and Savior and currently attended Madison Park Church of God.

She is survived by her 6 children: Davin First of Tipp City, OH; Steven C. (Becky) First of Anderson; Kathleen S. (Edward) Ross of Pekin, IL; Karen L. (Kelly R.) Markin of Herndon, Virginia; Kristina L. Smith of Leonardtown, Maryland; Deanna J. First of Anderson, 6 siblings: William "Bill" (Pauline) Hutchinson of Garland, Texas; Patricia (Ferd) Winget of Melbourne, FL; Betty (David) Taylor of Lima, OH, Harold I. Hutchinson of Ft. Wayne, James (Shelly) Hutchinson of Athens, Texas and Sharon (Mark) Winget of Forsyth, Georgia, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years, Dick D. First in 1976, her parents and her 2 brothers Edward Lee and Donald Eugene Hutchinson and a daughter-in-law Sharon L. (Beam) First.

Services will be on Monday, May 9 at 4:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Mike Schwartz officiating. Friends may call from 2-4 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
Burial in Glen Haven Cemetery and Memorial Gardens in New Carlisle, Ohio at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to American Cancer Society or St. John's Hospice.
