L. Berniece (Sylvester) Julian

Berniece (Sylvester) Julian, age 90, of Pendleton passed away peacefully at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
She was born to Otto and Ruth Marie (Ross) Sylvester on September 14, 1920 in Anderson where she resided most of her life. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a member of the North Anderson Church of God where she served as Sunday school teacher, received a life and honorary award from Women of the Church of God for positions held and service to mission's outreach.
Survivors include sons, Donald (Shirley) Julian of Anderson, Thomas (Lynn) Julian of Anderson and daughter Melissa (Shane) Ooten of Shirley, IN, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, sister Mona Williams and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Delmar Julian; her parents; her brothers Kenneth Sylvester and Paul Sylvester; and her sisters Doris Hoppes, Verna Robertson and Mary Cain.
Services will be held on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 12 noon at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with viewing one hour before the service with Rev. Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
