Odis L. "Bud" Johnson

Odis L. "Bud" Johnson, age 88, of Anderson died at St. John's Hospital on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 after a very brief illness.
Odis was born December 17, 1922 in Austin, IN to Virgil and Iva (Wiesman) Johnson.
Odis served in the US Army during WW II.
He worked in production at Guide Lamp before retiring in October of 1974 after 32 years of service.
He was a member of VFW Post 266.
He is survived by his step-son: Jeff (Ralphenia) Coppess of Anderson, 3 granddaughters: Teresa (Noah) Hensley and Annette (Robert) Manis both of Middletown, IN and Julie Brown of Anderson, 6 great-grandchildren, Cory Hensley, John Manis, Hannah Manis, Joseph Brown, Daniel Brown, and Amy Cruz; 4 great-great grandchildren; 4 sisters: Ruth Holly of Comisky, IN, Betty (John) Wright of Comisky, IN; Katherine (Louie) Robbins of North Vernon, IN and Thelma Maschino of North Vernon and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife of 64 years, Margaret (Baker) Johnson
whom he married in 1947; Son, Stephen Johnson died in 1992.
Services will be on Monday, May 23, 2011 at 1:30pm at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. Burial will be in Grovelawn Cemetery in Pendleton. Military graveside rites will be conducted at the cemetery by the VFW Post 266 Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Monday, May 23, 2011 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at the funeral home.
