M. Jeannine (Combs) James

M. Jeannine (Combs) James, 74, of Anderson died on May 20, 2011 at Community Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born on December 31, 1936 in Anderson to Asa and Joyce (Schlabach) Combs.
She retired from Delco Remy in 1991 after 23 years of employment. Following retirement she worked several years at Park Place Children's Center as an early childhood educator and was the marketing director for the Anderson Symphony Orchestra for 2 years.
She was a 1954 graduate of Anderson High School and also a graduate of Anderson University. She was former member of Park Place Church of God and for the past 20 years has been a member of Unity Church of Anderson where she was currently the vice-president of the church board. She enjoyed volunteering for RSVP and was a mentor to young women at Women's Alternatives. She was an avid reader and loved anything to do with children.
Survivors include 2 daughters, Kathy Bell of South Bend, IN and Kara Beamer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Daughter of her heart, Christie Kabrich of Divide, Colorado; 1 Brother, Ed (Margaret) Combs of Anderson; 1 Sister, Lolita (Kent) Abbott of Cape Coral, FL; 3 grandchildren, Aaron (Erin) Wellman of Lexington, KY, Zachary Beamer of Anderson, and Kiley Beamer of Colorado Springs, Colorado; 1 great-grandson, Asa Wellman, and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Rosalyn Burgan.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 2:00pm at Unity Church of Anderson with Brad Langdon officiating. There will be no visitation.
Cremation took place and a burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be given to Unity Church of Anderson.
