Otis D. Amos
October 16, 1931 to June 21, 2011

Otis D. Amos, age 79, died at Miller's Merry Manor in Chesterfield on June 21, 2011.

He was born in Indianapolis, IN on October 16, 1931 to Otis and Elizabeth (Curry) Amos.

Otis lived in Chesterfield for 49 years.

He served in the US Marines during the Korean War from January through December of 1953.

He worked production for Delco Remy of 34 1/2 years before retiring on March 1, 1995.
He is survived by his 4 children: Joann (Jeff) McMillan, Andrea (Lee) Throneburg, Kathy (Tim) Limbrock and Mike Amos (girlfriend Mary Sosnoskie) all of Anderson; 11 grandchildren: Mickey Amos, Jayson Amos, Tomy Amos, Scott Amos, Christopher Amos, Kyle Amos, Otis C. Amos, Otis Dale Amos, Terry Limbrock, Jesse (Lori) Limbrock, Brittany Throneburg and Hunter Throneburg; 18 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Otis married the love of his life, Linda Lou Seward on September 6, 1951 in Hancock County. She preceded him in death on May 10, 2003.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, 2 sisters Norma Slinker and Barbara Burdine.

Services will be held on Friday, June 24, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Pastor Ned Clark officiating. Friends may call from Noon until 2 P.M. at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bronnenberg Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by the VFW Post 266 honor guard.

Memorial contributions may be given to the charity of the donors choice.
