Jeffrey Scott "Jeff" Roberts
May 11, 1993 - July 4, 2011
Jeff went to be with Jesus in the early morning hours on July 4, 2011.
He was born in Anderson on May 11, 1993, but lived most of his life in Daleville.
Jeff will be missed by many who loved him so very dearly. He loved to run, play the piano and saxophone and even sang a little bit. He was most proud of being named to his fourth year on the Delaware County Pride Team. A group that invests a lot of time each year promoting a drug-free life style to elementary students. He loved young children most of all. Jesus said, "let the little children come to me," and Jeff lived that out in many ways.
He is survived by his parents Tom and Amy(York) Roberts, three siblings, Andy, Craig and Jaime, his grandparents Wilma Jean York and Larry Roberts, many aunts, uncles and cousins and a special neighbor, Cody Douglass.
Jeff was preceded in death by his grandmother, Elizabeth "Grace" Roberts, grandfather, Norman "Whitey" York, Aunt Suzi Williams and his great grandmother Mary Smith.
Jeff loved to smile, play games, and just enjoyed life to the fullest. He was going to be senior at Daleville High School and was at the top of his class. He ran cross country and track for the varsity squad, a member of Daleville High School Band, National Honor Society, Academic Super Bowl and Indiana Youth Salute.
Service will be on Friday, July 8 at 11:00 A.M. at Tabor Baptist Church with Jim Sandberg officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. at Tabor Baptist Church; 10500 South 300 West; Muncie, IN 47302.
Memorial contributions may be given to Community Foundation of Muncie and Delaware County in memory of Jeff Roberts. A fund will be established to benefit Delaware County and the Daleville Community.
