Darlene A. Wright, 69 of Anderson went to be with the Lord August 18, 2011 at St. John's Hospital after an extended illness.
She was born November 4, 1941 in New Castle, IN to Emmett & Marie (McCorkle) Sorrell.
Darlene retired in 1993 from production at Inland Fisher Guide Division of General Motors after 30 years of service.
She attended Fellowship of Christian Believers.
She is survived by her life long companion, Rick Freund, children Debbie (Wright) Alverson, Delbert (wife Amy) Wright, Darrell (wife Ladusty) Wright, Danetta (husband Derrick) Eldridge; sisters, Idabelle Bolden, Tony Lynn Chase and Carroll Sorrell; 20 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews and many other special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Gerald Sorrell and Pete Sorrell and her son Larry Montgomery.
Services will be Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Ray Renner officiating. Burial will be in Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown following the service. Friends may call on Wednesday from 12 until the service.
