Arthur (Andy) Lee Thomasson, 67, of Clarksville, TN, died on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born on September 29, 1944 in Gastonia, North Carolina to the late James William Thomasson and Evelyn Ingle Thomasson. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Warren Thomasson, Casper Thomasson, and James Thomasson.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Rich Morgan, Rev. Regina Hall, and Bro. Andrew Stowell officiating. Burial will be in Sango Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 5-7 p.m. and Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Andy was a Retired U.S. Army Veteran having served in Vietnam. He was a Retired Aviation Electronics Technician with Civil Service. He was also a member of Sango United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Kuykendall Thomasson of Clarksville, TN; two daughters, Valarie Oglesby (Scott) and Andrea Martin (Michael) of Clarksville, TN; sister, Marjorie Cagle of Petersburg, VA; and six grandchildren: Shane Martin, Briana Martin, Alek Oglesby, Quinton Oglesby, Matthew Oglesby, and Andrew Oglesby.
Serving as pallbearers will be SSG David Thomasson and soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division.
