WEBSTER – Nellie D. (Bartkiewicz) Kondek, 101, of Webster, died Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in Webster Manor after an illness. Her husband of 58 years, Louis C. Kondek, died in 1998.
She leaves 2 sons, Bernard A. Kondek, Sr. and his wife Regina J. Kondek, and Louis J. Kondek, all of Webster; 2 grandsons, Bernard A. Kondek, Jr. and Brian W. Kondek; 3 great granddaughters,
Amanda, Jillian and Deanna; a sister, Rose Manyak of Douglas; and nieces and nephews.
She was born and raised in Webster, a daughter of Martin and Caroline (Grych) Bartkiewicz and was a lifelong resident. She was a member of Saint Joseph Basilica and its Sacred Heart Society and Saint Anne Society.
The family would like to thank the staff on the third floor of Webster Manor for their excellent care for Nellie for the last 7 months.
The funeral will be held Saturday, September 8, from the Sitkowski & Malboeuf Funeral Home, 340 School Street, with a Mass at 10:00 AM in Saint Joseph Basilica, 53 Whitcomb Street. Burial will be in St. Joseph Garden of Peace. Calling hours will be from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Friday, September 7, in the funeral home. Donations in her name may be made to the Friends of St. Joseph School Fund, 53 Whitcomb St., Webster, MA 01570.
