Marie Rose Roy 90, of Victory Highway, died Tuesday at Landmark Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Eugene Edward Roy. Born in Woonsocket February 16, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Delia Bernier. Mrs. Roy spent her life taking care of her family and home.
She is survived by three sons, Eugene R. Roy of Thompson CT, Roland Roy of Woonsocket, and Ronald Roy of N. Smithfield; a daughter, Rose Marie Lambert of N. Smithfield; ten grandchildren, Laurie Poisson, Jennifer Willerval, and Jamie Roy all of Harrisville, Robert Roy of Lincoln, Amanda Warren of Texas, Phillip Roy of Woonsocket, Eric and Kristyn Lambert both of N. Smithfield, Erika Mackenzie of Smithfield and Ronald Roy Jr. of MA.; ten great-grandchildren and one great -great-grandchild. She was predeceased by six siblings.
Her funeral will be held Friday at 9:00 AM from the Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home, 463 South Main St. Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. John The Evangelist Church, Church St. Slatersville, RI. Burial will follow in St. Charles Cemetery in Blackstone. Visiting Hours are Thursday 6-8 PM.
