Albert B. Ayers, 89, of Manchester, died May 24, 2004, at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, after a lengthy illness.
Born March 10, 1915, in Newark, NJ, he was the son of Albert B. and Florence (Bennett) Ayers. He was a graduate of the University of Florida.
He was an army veteran of World War II.
Mr. Ayers retired in 1969 after working 29 years as an auditor in the Auditor General’s Office.
Family members include a daughter, Charlene Blake of Manchester; Three sons, Richard Ayers of Trinity, NC, Donald Ayers of Tennessee, and George Ayers of NJ; a brother, George M. Ayers of Manasquan, NJ.
A funeral service was held Thursday May 27, 2004 in the Lambert Funeral Home chapel. After cremation urn burial was in the New Hampshire Veterans Cemetery, Boscawen.
The family has requested that donations be made to the VA Medical Center, 718 Smyth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104
