Obituary

Janet Rose (Schrader) Linamen
March 13, 1933 - October 5, 2011

Janet Rose (Schrader) Linamen, was born March 13, 1933, in Hopedale, Ohio. Surrounded by her family, she was peacefully welcomed to Heaven, Wednesday, October 5, 2011. Jan was the first child of the late Rose & Coy Schrader. Two brothers, Don & Gordon, followed later to make the family complete. Jan lived her childhood in Ohio, graduating from Freeport High School, in Freeport, Ohio. After graduation, she attended Anderson College in Anderson, Indiana, then making Anderson her home.

Jan's passion from the time she was in grade school was always to be a good secretary. She gave The Christian Brotherhood Hour, Anderson Banking Company, World Service, Schrader & Associates, many years of dedicated service.

She is survived by her brothers, best friend & sister-in-law, and her loving husband, Harold, whom she married in 1984. Their blended families include daughter Elizabeth Rose Roller of Anderson, son James F. Brown of South Carolina, 2 step-sons & daughters-in-law Dr. Larry Linamen (wife Dr. Kayla Fisher) of Illinois, Dr. Chris (wife Debbie) Linamen of California, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren, along with a host of nieces & nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

Jan loved her family, people, music, nature & animals. To know Jan was to love her. She was kind & giving---always concerned about others. If she knew of anyone who was sick or in need, she was there with homemade soup or cookies, sometimes baking breads for all her neighbors and her whole family for holidays.

She was a faithful member of Park Place Church of God and Pathways Sunday School class. She worked tirelessly visiting the sick & shut-ins, sometimes accompanied by her beloved dog, "Shadow". She called it her little "Me & My Shadow Ministry". She loved playing the organ and visiting friends in retirement homes. Jan was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all her family & friends.

Visitation will be Friday, October 7 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service (229 S. Rangeline Road Anderson) from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Services of honor and remembrance will take place at Park Place Church of God (501 College Drive) Saturday, October 8, at 11:00 AM with visitation at the church one hour prior, the Reverends David Markle and Phillip Bruzzese officiating.
