Honorable Robert R. Robbins

Honorable Robert R. Robbins, age 87 of Anderson died October 20, 2011 following an extended illness.
He was born in Anderson on January 23,1924 to Arthur Lee & Elsie Alice (Everett) Robbins.
He graduated from Anderson High School in 1941; he worked at Delco Remy until he served in the US Army for 3 years where he was a Sgt. during WW II.
He returned to Delco Remy in the Spring of 1946; he was a graduate of Anderson College and Indiana University Law School. He served as Madison Circuit Court Bailiff. He was admitted to the bar in1956 in Indiana and Federal Court. He was a member of the Madison County Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
He was Anderson City Court Judge from 1964 to 1971 and Assistant City Attorney for 1980 to 1984.
He served on the Board of Directors for the Mental Health Association; Mt. Moriah F. & A. M. #77 of Anderson, Indianapolis Valley of the Scottish Rite; Murat Temple.
He is survived by his daughter Terri Perry of Anderson; granddaughter Leaoni J. Perry and great grandson Bryson D. of Florida; siblings Marjorie E. Slivka of Indianapolis; Betty Jo (Ralph) Parker of Anderson; Reene Evans of Anderson; Rex L. Robbins of Pendleton; Delores (Leo) Landwerlin of Avon, IN; and Larry W. Robbins of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his son Greg Robbins; wives Phyllis Jean Robbins and Barbara Robbins
Service will be on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 1:30 P.M. at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Chaplain Don Weston of Heartland Hospice officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 AM until 1 PM when there will be Masonic Rites given by Mt. Moriah Lodge # 77 of the F. & A. M.
