Mathilde (Brau) Jacobs, 88, a resident of Chesterfield, died on November 3, 2011 at Rawlins House in Pendleton.
She was born on October 4, 1923 in Rosenberg, Germany to Michael and Anna (Keisel) Brau.
She was a cook for MCL Cafeteria for 10 years, and prior to that she was a seamstress for the Banner Store. She had been a Chesterfield resident since 1959 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
She is survived by her children: Karen ( John) Stewart of Bardstown, KY, Marion White of Anderson, and Robert (Cindy) Jacobs of Chesterfield. 6 Grandchildren: Veronica Stewart, Sherry (Doug) Young, Ryan (Amber) Davis, Michael Davis, Robert Jacobs, Andrew Jacobs; 3 great grandchildren Wesley Young, Stewart Young and Ava Davis; her sister Crystal Seelig of Germany and several nieces and nephews of Germany.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Jacobs, and her parents and 6 siblings in Germany and a grandson, Robert Stewart.
Services will be on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Tom Metzger officiating. Visitation will be Noon until the service.
Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to the Rawlins House or St. Mary's Catholic Church.
