James Arthur "Jay" Wright

James Arthur "Jay" Wright, 39 of Anderson died at St. John's Hospital after a brief illness.
Jay was born December 28, 1971 in Anderson to James Howard and Barbara (Boyer) Wright.
He was a lifelong Anderson resident graduating from Highland High School in 1991.
He worked carpentry and concrete prior to his disability.
He enjoyed East Central Roller Derby, hunting; riding his horse "Atti"; western movies and spending time with his family. He loved his daughter and his grandson.
He is survived by his parents, his daughter Sierra Wright , fiancée Pam Baker of Anderson, grandson, Skyler Lee Malone Wright of Chesterfield; stepdaughter, Kandis Shreve and grandbabies Kenzie and Tyler; 4 brothers and 5 sisters: James R. Quick of Phoenix, AZ; Timothy J. (Linda) Quick of Lehigh Acre, FL; Richard F. "Rick" Wright of Anderson; William E. (Darla) Wright of Florida; Cindy (Artie) Smith of Anderson, Teresa (Daniel) Robinson of Pasadena, CA; Cori (Dave) Meeks of Anderson, Holly DeHart (companion Jon Smith) of Orestes, IN; and Gayle DeLeonard of Florida; several special nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his grandparents: Arthur F. & Corrine(Stinson) Wright; and Raymond S. & Eva Mae (Caton) Boyer and a uncle Richard K. Wright.
The family will miss Jay's loving, compassionate and helpful heart.
Services will be on Wednesday December 7 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Gerald Burnett officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 1 PM until the service at the funeral home.
