Paul L. Tangusso of Somerville died peacefully at the Aberjona Nursing Center in Winchester after a long illness. He was 96.
Born and raised in Chelsea, he was the son of the late Agrippino and the late Marie (Napoli) Tangusso. A Somerville resident for over 60 years, Paul worked for many years as a salesman in the wholesale candy business. In his later years he was the maintenance director at Tremont on the Common. He was a devoted family man who enjoyed good times with his relatives and friends and especially loved to go dancing with his wife of 63 years, Catherine.
The beloved husband of Catherine (Mirabelli), he was a devoted father to Richard Tangusso of Somerville and Paul Tangusso and his wife Maria of Milford. He also leaves many dear nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford, Wednesday at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Raphael Church, 512 High Street, Medford, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Tuesday 4 - 8. Services will conclude with burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.
