Augusta, GA---Mrs. Lenora Thompson, 91, wife of the Late Mr. Chestley “Buddy” Thompson, entered into rest on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Trinity Hospital of Augusta.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 in the Platt’s Belair Road Chapel with Reverend Rich Bowen, Reverend Bruce Fox and Reverend Earl Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Mrs. Thompson was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a native of Langley, SC, but had been a resident of Augusta for 75 years. She was a homemaker and was a member of New Hope Worship Center, formerly Crawford Avenue Church of God.
Mrs. Thompson was also preceded in death by her son, Ernest David Thompson and her daughter, Faye Thompson.
Survivors include, her son Earl Allen Thompson (Carol) of Augusta, two daughters, Doris Thompson Barker (Mike) of Clearwater, SC, Linda Thompson Culpepper (Rudy) of Martinez, GA, daughter in law, Peggy Thompson Robinson, eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4, 2012 from 2:00 pm until the time of services, at Platt’s Belair Road.
